This April the GGNRA and Conservancy Green Team is challenging all staff to engage in more sustainable practices at work. Just as the April Wellness Challenge is promoting wellness for park employees, the Green Team hopes you'll support the wellness of the planet at the same time.
Building on last year’s challenge, this year will focus more on actions taken within the park and encourage collaborative team efforts. Teams and individuals will submit entries describing initiatives, proposals, or actions that they can take to make the park more sustainable.
How can I participate?
-
Start thinking of ways you can help improve the park’s sustainability. Browse through our resources and examples and see if they spark any ideas.
-
Talk with your NPS or Conservancy workgroup and come up with a team proposal (workgroups can be defined any way you like - office, building, division, or group with similar jobs).
-
Attend Sustainability Tea Times to ask questions and develop insights on how to follow through with proposals.
-
Submit your individual or team ideas or actions by May 3 to be entered into a drawing. The best entries will also receive a top prize in the Energy, Transportation, and Waste categories.
